Warranty policies

Note: The following text outlines our technical warranty policy. Before going into it in more detail, we want to emphasise our commitment to quality and durability. We take pride in crafting high-quality baby gear that stands the test of time. Our goal is to ensure that you feel safe and confident when choosing our products. This warranty is our way of standing behind both our products and our values.
10-Year Warranty
Our current range of baby carriers, baby bouncers, and travel cot have a warranty for defects in materials and workmanship valid for 10 years from the date of purchase.
2-Year Warranty
BabyBjörn Kitchen and Bathroom products have a warranty for defects in materials and workmanship valid for two years from the date of purchase.
General warranty policies
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from region to region.
Our warranty pertains to the original purchaser or, in the case of a gift, the original recipient of the product, and is non-transferable to subsequent owners.
A valid receipt is required for all warranty claims.
What is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and care during the warranty period. Specifically, this includes:
Material Defects: Issues with fabric, stitching, zips, buttons, or other material parts that make up the product.
Manufacturing Defects: Faults in the construction or assembly of the product that impair its proper function.
If you experience any of these issues with your product within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:
Repair the defective product at no charge, or
Replace the product with a new or equivalent model.
What is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover any of the following:
Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual fading, scuffing or deterioration due to normal use over time (e.g. fabric wear, colour fading).
Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents such as dropping the product, exposure to extreme temperatures or water damage.
Misuse or Abuse: Improper use or handling of the product that goes beyond its intended purpose, such as: Using excessive force or pressure, or subjecting it to harsh conditions not suitable for baby products.
Unauthorized Modifications: Any alterations, repairs or modifications performed by unauthorised individuals or services.
Improper Care or Cleaning: Damage due to incorrect washing or drying, or failure to follow care instructions provided with the product.
Cosmetic Issues: Minor cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the product (e.g. scratches, minor dents).
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a claim under this warranty:
Contact Us: Contact our customer service team at customerservice@babybjorn.com; in writing at BabyBjörn AB, Kulltorpsvägen 49, 333 74 Bredaryd, Sweden or by phone at +46 10 138 92 72.
Provide Information: Submit proof of purchase, a detailed description of the issue, and any relevant photos or supporting documentation.
Product Inspection: We may request that the product is returned for further inspection. If approved, we will arrange for a repair or replacement at no cost to you.
You must be in current possession of the product to obtain warranty service. Products that have been disposed of are no longer covered under warranty.
For warranty evaluation, your product must be accompanied by an explanation of the defect and a valid receipt. Once our customer service team has reviewed your claim, they will issue their decision via email. BabyBjörn reserves the right to make all decisions under this warranty.
If we determine that the product is defective, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the product at our expense. We will cover shipping fees to send the repaired or replaced product to you. The sole remedies for any product found to be defective are: repair or replacement of the product. Refunds are not available under this warranty.
The remedies described above are the only ones available to you. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the defective product. We are not responsible for any additional damages or losses, whether direct or indirect, including consequential, incidental, special and punitive damages.
Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, BabyBjörn will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the product, even if BabyBjörn has been advised of the possibility of such damages. BabyBjörn’s total liability will not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
Normal Use
“Normal use” refers to the use of the product in accordance with the instructions provided by BabyBjörn, including any care instructions, and for the intended purpose of the product. For example, a baby carrier is designed for carrying a baby that does not exceed the specified weight limit, and should not be used for other purposes.
Jurisdictional Notice
This warranty is provided in compliance with applicable consumer protection laws. In the event of any inconsistency between this warranty and local laws, your statutory rights shall prevail. Please note that some regions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. Other legal rights may be available and may vary by region.
